For The Win
This award-winning burger spot in Hollywood meets and exceeds all expectations when it comes to LA’s controversial smashburger trend. With solid food, reasonable prices, and a clean interior with a suitable aesthetic for a burger joint, we give For The Win a glowing 9.0/10 overall rating.
The Food
We ordered the Double Cheeseburger ($12.50) with added bacon ($1.95) and added lettuce ($0.50) and were absolutely blown away. For The Win executes each component of their burgers to near perfection.
The toasted Martin’s potato buns, the thin and crispy burger patties, and their signature sauce that beats all others all come together to form this masterpiece. The burger patties were slightly under seasoned, but the grilled onions and added bacon gave an extra kick of flavor and saltiness. We liked adding lettuce to help balance things out. The total price of each burger was $14.95, which is a bit pricey but definitely worth the money.
Of course, we had to order some fries ($4.95) to go with our burger. The fries were light, crispy, and not-too-salty. Very solid but nothing spectacular. For The Win also offers sweet potato fries and Brussels sprouts, if you want something a little different.
The Experience
After luckily finding parking in the small lot, we ordered at the front and quickly had the food brought to our table. The Hollywood location had plentiful seating for a small space. The ordering screen at the front and the clean single-occupant restrooms were bonuses.
